Bananafishstudio is a small shop specializing in vintage inspired paper notions with a modern twist. France Wisniewski, the owner, is a graphic designer and has been playing with paper forever it seems. She began her Etsy journey a couple years ago when her husband suggested she sell some of the things she was always making. It never occurred to her that anyone would love her little odds and ends as much as she did.
Using her massive collection of
ephemera as inspiration she continues to create adornments based on her love of old office
supplies, ledger paper, labels and vintage advertisements. All her items are designed, cut,
and packaged in her home studio in Seattle.
By the way, the name of her company was
suggested by her husband and reveals her love of Salinger and books in general. She is fond
of telling people that she is a graphic designer with an English degree. It seems fitting
that she is always looking for creative ways to tell stories.

GREAT sketch!!! I really like how clean the sktches here are- you ca take the design anywhere which is wonderful. Great pages this week- I love Bananafish Studio- will make a little space in the schedule for this challenge this week!
