Hi there! What better time to post our June GDT challenge than during the annual National Scrapbooking Day weekend. There are challenges, crops, hops and prizes every corner you turn online this weekend. I, for one, am very excited—as I hope you are, too. So much inspiration out there!

Hello scrappy friends, I'm Melinda, the owner of Scrappy Chics. I have been scrapbooking for about 11 years. I love everything about scrapbooking from collecting, organizing, and of course preserving my past. There is nothing like the smell of fresh paper. (LOL!) I have been in the scrapbook industry as a store employee, manager, designer, teacher and whatever I could challenge myself at for the past 8 years.

I started Scrappy Chics in 2009 by selling my kits at local flea markets during the summer. I then sold my kits at a local scrapbook store and decided last summer to venture into my online kit club which officially opened in November. I love coordinating embellishments, paper and making a few things to add in my kits. I feel it is a touch of love going into each kit.

My main goal as the owner of Scrappy Chics is to make my customers feel like they have received a gift when opening each kit. I want it to feel like a present each month in the mail box. After all, we live a very busy life and should treat ourselves with nothing better than scrapping goodies.
