Some news here at Sketchy Thursdays

Heidi and I made some decisions the past few weeks to help Sketchy Thursdays to grow. Which will result in better sketches, cooler prizes and more challenges. :) All good news, right?!


First, we've decided to welcome Heather, the GDT from Dec. and Jan. as a full-time DT girlie to help fill the spot Mirjam left. We miss Mirjam, of course, and welcome Heather with open arms! Her work is fabulous and she is an asset to the team for sure.

WELCOME HEATHER!!! (below is a message from Heather....)

Hello everyone. I SOOOOO excited and honored that Heidi and Diana asked be to join the design team on a regular basis (well at least until the next call). THANKS so much gals...mmmwuaaah!

Here's a couple of things you may or may not know about me: I'm a mommy to 2 adorable girls and a great step-son and a fantastic hubby who supports my crafty obsessions. I usually retreat to my craft room to play or read blogs for a few hours each night after the kids are read to and tucked into bed. My style is random and I say that because I go where the pictures and papers lead me. With that said though I've noticed a do love to layer.

My other obsessions include being a HUGE Rob Thomas fan as well as diving all over the world, even when it means a random encounter with hammerhead and nurse sharks! I am excited to be designing with the INCREDIBLE team here at Sketchy Thursdays and look forward to sharing my passion for crafty things with you.

Secondly, Julie T-W will now be joining ST indefinitely to help us out. Julie brings an immense amount of talent to the team and, as we all know, is famous for her smilies and super-friendly blog-hopping demeanor. We have asked her to be our Social Director.

Julie will be writing the Thursday winner post each week—showcasing the DT Faves and working with the winners. She has been added an an admin to the Facebook page and will also be helping with our social marketing and commenting strategies.

CONGRATS JULIE ON YOUR NEW TITLE!I hope you're as excited about this news as I am! When Heidi and I started this site in 2009 we never dreamed it would be this fabulous of a community of scrappers. And we owe that all to YOU!! Thanks again!!


Heidi here...I just wanted to throw in my two-cents!  We're so excited to welcome Heather to our DT and to grab hold of Julie for the long-run! 

When I first read Diana's note that we'd started back in 2009 that gave me a bit of a jolt!  It's been such a fun ride that I'm amazed it's been that long already.  I can't wait to see where the future takes us!!!!  Thank you ALL for joining us and playing along.  We love you all!!!
