Happy September! To me, September is the official start of the holidays. My son's birthday starts the ball rolling later this month and then it's nothing but one holiday or event after another until the new year! So, if you're like me right now, a nice, simple sketch is just what's in order.
First, let's see some of that beautiful inspiration for you from our amazing Design Team!
And...introducing September's Guest Design Team Member...
Let's get to know Lynne:
Curently I am just floating in the scrapping world still trying to find my style but wouldn't be without my inks, distresser and other random objects. I have been apart of two design teams for NZ scrap shops and do the odd class for a local store, Scrapbook Paradise. I am yet to be brave enough to submit anything to try and get published but one day you might see my name somewhere in print. My blog is http://lynne1.wordpress.com/ for anyone keen for a peek. I am so excited to be playing along with Sketchy Thursday and looking forward to getting to know everyone here.
Welcome, Lynne! We are excited to have you with us!!!!
And, what Sketchy Thursdays challenge would be complete without an awesome sponsor???
Let's meet Lisa and Paper Fashions Boutique:
"All my life I have been surrounded by crafters! Everything from fabric, wood, and paper has been woven into my life, a heavy influence drawn from my parents while growing up. I’ve dabbled in candle making, counted cross-stitch, sewing, woodworking, knitting, crocheting, painting, etc. I’ve enjoyed each craft I have tried and have learned so many creative things along the way.
Paper has always fascinated me! As I child I shredded paper to make wonderful culinary dishes with my toy cookware. As a student in school I used paper to create many projects for homework assignments. As an adult I used paper to create bulletin boards, games, puzzles, displays, and so many other things in my preschool classroom.
About 15 years ago I discovered rubber stamping and began creating cards. But this time it was different, I was obsessed! I made a natural progression into scrapbooking and then to altered items, all now a daily part of my life. There is nothing I enjoy more than sitting down with a pile of paper, embellishments, stamps, and tools to create something memorable. Paper crafting is my passion!
I have been fortunate to take my paper crafting to a professional level by serving on several manufacturer design teams as well as getting to travel and teach. I have also done freelance work for several manufacturers by designing trade show projects, developing classes, print advertising, QVC, and website gallery projects. Then I decided to launch my own online business to bring my paper creations directly to paper craft enthusiasts so they would be able to save time by purchasing product already kitted and ready to go! Thus the creation of http://www.paperfashionsboutique.com/.
When I am not elbow deep in paper and adhesive I love spending time with my husband and two daughters. I also love to bargain shop and garden."Lisa is offering this beautiful boxed card set for our lucky winner!
This beautifully boxed card set is a wonderful way to spoil yourself or to give as a gift to a friend or family member for the upcoming holiday season! Everything is included with supplies and full instructions to make this an easy and fun kit. Lisa has done all the pre-work for you including shopping, designing, and step-by-step instructions. This kit includes the lovely designer pen as shown in the photograph to finish off your beautifully boxed card set. Check out the Paper Fashions Boutique to see what Lisa has to offer. Pick up a boxed card set for yourself and as a gift for someone special!
