Well, you know us!  We just can't keep away from you.  Since we didn't do a regular Sketchy Thursday challenge this week, we're just going to have to bring you a shorter Second Chance Challenge instead. 

We're gonna go easy on you, give you a break from all the holiday festivities...A card sketch...

Now, just because I say it's a card sketch doesn't mean you have to make a card. 

I figured tis the season for holiday card making, though, so why not facilitate the process a bit.

Thank you to everyone who played this week! There will not be a new sketch announced this week b/c of the holiday, however, stop back by this weekend for a special, unique and very exciting challenge hosted by Heidi. And, because I am that type of person, I want to take a minute and say that on this holiday I am thankful for all of you who read and play along with this blog every week. When I started this challenge on my personal blog, it was exciting to have 5 people play. I was excited to be meeting new friends and just having fun drawing up sketches each week for myself and then sharing them with those handful of people.

When Heidi told me she'd help me run a site if I wanted to start this challenge blog, I was excited but afraid it would be a flop. OMG... who even would have guessed that from Sept to Nov we'd have more than 25,000 click ins and 385 followers. We've been blessed with great scrappy friends and wonderful manufacturers, vendors, kit clubs and Etsy sellers to support this endeavor.

Today... I am thankful for all of you! Thank you! Thank you for coming here, playing each week and giving your time to these sketches. I know you have a lot of choices for where you play and put your energy. I am thankful each week that you choose us.

As mentioned, we really loved everyone's entries and the results were sooooo close.  This month, the popular vote happened to coincide with the DT votes.  Remember last month?  The results were different.  So, you never know!!!  It's always worth putting yourself out there.  :o)   The January GDT challenge will be upon us before you know it.

December Guest Design Team Voting OPEN!!

We had an amazing response to this month's Guest Design Team Competition.  Thanks to everyone who participated. 

The guidelines for the layouts were to combine the prompt "Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend" AND this sketch:

The winner of the GDT spot will be decided Dancing With the Stars style:  the popular vote will count for 1/2 each person's score and the Sketchy Design Team's votes will count for the other 1/2.  (So, for example, if there are 12 entries, the person with the most popular votes gets 12 points, the next most gets 11 points, etc. and then the person with the most DT votes gets 12 points, the next most 11 points, etc. Both sets of points are added together and the person with the highest total will win.) 

The December GDT member will not only get all the month's sketches early and will have her layouts post each week along with the Sketchy Design Team's, but will also win an awesome stash from Lil Scrappin Mama!!!
