The January Sketchy Thursdays Guest Design Team Challenge IS ON!
{sheesh! can you believe it's already almost 20-TEN!!!)
Please make a layout (your entry MUST be a layout) based on this criteria:
For some reason, I'm in the mood for "THREES"...so I'm gonna make you work for this one. I'd like to see:
* three patterned papers from three different lines (they can be the same manufacturer, just have to be from different collections)
* three groups of three different embellies
* and use this "vintage" Sketchy Thursdays sketch:
Not only will January's Guest Design Team Member get all the January sketches early and have their projects displayed weekly alongside our Design Team's creations, but they'll also receive this awesome kit from Blue Moon Kit Club:

The polls will open at 12:01am EST Saturday, December 19 for everyone to vote for their favorite entry.
The polls will close at 11:59pm EST Monday, December 21 at which time the results (50%) will be combined with the votes from the Sketchy Thursdays Design Team (50%) to determine January's GDT member!
The January Guest Design Team Member will be announced Tuesday, December 22...an early holiday treat for one lucky crafter!

okay, so for a brand new scrapper girl, i'm curious... is 8x8 acceptable? and for those who apply for this GDT spot, will their projects for the month have to be all layouts? :) i don't know if i'm your league, ladies, but i think i'm going to try!

Leah - Grrrrrrrlllll, 8x8 TOTALLY acceptable, 8-1/2 x 11 also. And, no, all monthly projects don't have to be l/o's. And, yes, you are soooo in our league. :o)

I am gonna give this a try. I am a little nervous. My work sometimes looks so simple. Okay, here I go:)
One question. What do you mean by 3 groups of 3 different embellies. Are we to do 3 different kind of embellies and each group has to have three in it? Sorry, sometimes my brain does not wake up when I have to be conscious:)
HI Vickie, Good question! I see it was you need 3 clusters of embellishments and it should be 3 different kinds, such as gems, ribbon and chipboard. Does that help?

I'm in http://wickysticket.blogspot.com/2009/12/sketchy-thursday.html, but I saw the clarification on using three different sorts of embellishments *after* I had done my layout, so I'm not sure if it qualifies.
I really liked the sketch though, and I'm pleased with my page nevertheless!
We've decided that any combo of 3 for the embellishments is OK since there is room for interpretation on the suggestions for playing along. No worries ... we just love to see your work!
